The Legacy project’s mission is manifold.  While its primary goal is to report on the rich history of African Americans in Houston, Texas, the project will inspire frank discussions between diverse communities and bridge cultural divides.  It will also engage millions of Americans in working to ensure a more accurate and comprehensive perspective of history.
