C.A.T.C.H. FOUNDATION

The CATCH Foundation was created as vehicle to give students the chance to continue their education at higher level, whether it was undergraduate or graduate level. Even though the foundation has branched out into other community wide charitable endeavors, It has never lost its passion for higher education and supporting those whose choose to reach for it. The Foundation understands the need for scholarships especially with the rise in cost of higher education coupled with economic uncertainties. The Foundation not only gives scholarships to individuals but educational institutions general scholarship funds.

The foster care program is a proposed program that will address a growing need in the greater Houston area to give children a safe environment to grow and prosper

mission & vision

The CATCH Foundation was established to expand education opportunities, encourage a more tolerant society and improve the quality of life for Houstonians.

When parents are unable, unwilling or unfit to care for a child, a new home must be found for the child. In some cases, there is little or no chance a child can return to their parents' custody, so they need a new permanent home. In other situations, children only need a temporary home until their parents' situation changes. In any case, the children need somewhere to stay until a permanent home is possible, which is where we come in.

There are three things that we plan to do for children who have been thrown away or taken away:

  1. Provide a facility where they can feel safe
  2. Provide a nurturing, stable home environment
  3. Provide the opportunity to be productive members of society

Our plan is to achieve these goals in two phases.  First, we plan to secure a small apartment facility for children who are aged out of foster care.  Currently, these children are overwhelmingly thrown into our streets like yesterday’s leftovers to be eaten up by unemployment, incarceration and government dependency.  In lieu of this outcome, we will seek to provide transitional housing along with educational (academic and vocational) and social services to help these children adjust and transition to life as an independent adult.  Second, we will secure properties for younger children in need of foster care who will be cared for in a loving healthy and safe environment.

We will need to develop critical relationships with child services, non-profit organizations, donor organizations, physical and mental health societies, government agencies and the community to ensure our outcomes.
